Elijah decided that he didn't want to wait any longer to see the world. After just over 14 1/2 hours of labor (from the first contraction to his birth), Elijah was born with no issues or complications. A wonderfully healthy little baby boy. Blessed to join two larger families, the Hadleys and the Birneys, he will grow up knowing that he is dearly loved by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Now six hours after he was born, mom and baby are doing well. He's been fed twice already and had two and a fraction diaper changes. Now we're all going to try and get some rest so he can meet the Birney set of grandparents tomorrow!!

ReplyDeleteOK, how weird is it to see you gazing into the eyes of your NEW SON!!! Isn't the experience pretty cool. The pictures bring back WAY too many memories.
